Drums
Steve, as a wee young lad, started his musical career in his moms's kitchen, breaking every wooden spoon she had on her pots and pans. In order to get his very first drum kit, he took 9 years of piano lessons from his grandmother and finally got his drums. It wasn't long before his mom was signing wavers for him to be playing in nightclubs at 15 years of age. Steve later went on to getting his music degree, graduating at the top of his class at the Percussion Institute in Hollywood.
Stevens resume with bands is equally impressive. Some of the bands he has played with include: Code Blue,The Employers, Something Big, Rock Island,and Separate Ways ( a Journey tribute band). After a few years with Separate Ways, Steve formed the band Sonik Circus with Sean Michael Smith. The two decided to use reputable musicians from the Twin Cities, with a few requirements; they must not be feeble in any way, wear bandanas, and must have a strong opposition to lame music. Oh, another qualifier, they must be A.D.D., or just a little bit off in general. This explains the rest of the cast, Karl Swartz, Chris Chandler, and Matt Corlett.
Sonik Circus turned into Sonik Envy near the end of 2004. The Sonik Envy Dreamcast, as Steve puts it are in the studio now, working on the soon to be completed Sonik Envy CD
